It’s Happening

RISA, out of Germany, is the only company online I could find that made wholly electric ukuleles, i.e. miniature electric guitars. I wanted one, but lost hope and had all but given up when I couldn’t get a response. And then, this appeared.

The RISA Stratocaster style Electric Tenor Ukulele in Cream White

Sold in the US of A!

It will have steel strings like a guitar, good for bending and other things I will learn as I play. All I know is it will be the right instrument for getting “dirty.”

Dirty, to me, being all those nasty, dirty emotions; anger, frustration, angst, fear. Ungodly emotions that need to be expunged and captured in song. And then burned. In the spiritual sense. To hell with my sins of the flesh. ‘The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.’

I will use my little Risa to make songs of repentance and righteous anger. After all, it does say in the Book to, ‘Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.’

Also, the white color of this gem is fitting for this verse. ‘Go then, eat your bread in happiness and drink your wine with a cheerful heart; for God has already approved your works. Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil. Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun–all your meaningless days. Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.’

This is a new chapter in the mostly unpublished, but highly documented musical life and growth of little Crystal Fulbright.

God bless you all and God bless my little Risa.
